Second is Botanical Bas Relief or Plaster Cast. One of the oldest Art Forms - creating Wedding Bouquet Preservation, Wall Art and Home Decor Ideas.
Third is Preserved Flower Art in Resin or Shadow Boxes - perfect for Wedding Bouquet Preservation and Home Decor, and Jewelry (NEW).
Custom Framing can be completed by Jim McLean Woodworking. Shipping is extra and calculated once framing is completed.

Botanical Plasters
Known as Bas Relief or Low Relief or Botanical Plaster is an ancient method of of creating 3D representations of plants and flowers on a flat surface. I use clay and plaster of Paris to sculpt the final product. I may or may not utilize water colours as a finishing touch. It is a visually striking and tactile representation of My Botanicals.

Preserved Florals in Resin

Coasters, Trays, Wall Hangings, Bistro Table tops and Jewelry, Trinket trays, Coffee Tables, Custom work accepted as well.

Botanicals are carefully dried either with Silica Gel Beads or Air Drying and then composed is a mould and enclosed in Resin to create Wall Art or Artful functional pieces for the Home.
Preserved Florals in Shadow Box

Deep Boxes which enclose Your Preserved Florals for display in your Home. Depth of the Shadow Box is determined by the size of the Florals.

Wedding Bouquets are dried by using Silica Gel Beads or some Air Drying - depending upon the flowers. the flowers are then mounted in the Shadow Box to best display their uniqueness and beauty. there is always some loss of colour or slight colour changes.

Using as much of the original Wedding Bouquet as possible, florals are preserved then Fixed into Resin as a 14’ or 24” Circular items or 10 X18’ Rectangle. Wall hangings or Utilitarian items for your home.
